Good morning PHES Parents and Guardians,
This new school year brings many exciting changes at PHES. One of the safety changes is our volunteer process and requirements. We want to ensure that everyone on our current list is aware of the new process and to notify all our new families as well. To be an approved volunteer, you will need a Level 1 Fingerprint clearance card from DPS and to complete the Parent Volunteer Application, which will require you to upload a valid driver's license and your valid Fingerprint clearance card. Once that is completed, we will be notified and can process your application. That does take some time, so again, we ask for your grace and patience as we have several to process and will get you on the approved volunteer list as soon as possible. If you have not taken the steps mentioned above, please click the link here-https://phes.paradiseschools.org/apps/pages/index.jsp... for the full directions and links you need to start today.
If you have previously completed our volunteer application online you do not need to complete a new one unless there have been any changes to your application. If there have been changes please log in to your application to update the information. If you previously did a paper form of the parent volunteer application that is no longer valid, you must complete the application on our website.
The current application states that if you are an active Military, Fire, or Police Officer, you can upload your ID instead of a Fingerprint Clearance card. Effective Immediately, that is no longer the case. You will be required to have that Fingerprint Clearance card.
We love having our volunteers on campus and greatly appreciate you. We want to ensure you know the process before you sign up to volunteer for our upcoming events. We thank you for your patience as we continue to do all the back-end processes necessary to give everyone the ability to volunteer. We know this is a little more of a process for you, but the safety and security of our PHES families and staff are top priorities.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact me.
IVP or NON IVP?
The difference is that an IVP card is where DPS stores your
fingerprints in their system so when the card is due to expire in 6
years you will not have redo your fingerprints you will just have to
renew the card. Also an IVP card is required for any state, school,
day care job so if that is something you might explore in the future
its best to get the IVP so you wont have to pay to get it later.
