Ms. Wright's Story

Other than home, school is the place where we spend most of our childhood. I first started attending Paradise in 6th grade. I was so shy and nervous starting in the middle of the year. Things quickly changed as I was greeted with a warm smile from Mrs. Tolson. She taught me the value of hard work.

Thankfully after 8th grade promotion, Paradise added a high school and I was able to continue my learning at PHHS. I remember when we were a small school located off of Greenway and Reems in a cubical building. There I was able to help pick out some of the key details of my future high school, such as school colors and the mascot. I remember working with my teachers to create the first badminton and tennis team. I am proud to say I was a part of the second graduating class at Paradise Honors High School in 2013.

Years later, I am now amazed to see the growth that has happened. After high school, I attended and graduated from Concordia University in 2018 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. After graduation, I taught for three years at charter, public and private schools. However, nothing seemed to be the right fit. I knew in the back of my mind that Paradise was the school I longed to return to. Paradise had given so much to me, and I was looking for a job where I could give back.

Now as one of Paradise's new 2nd grade teachers I am looking forward to helping my students succeed, just like my teachers at Paradise helped me!
